$2,000 sign on bonus ($1,000 at hire, $500 at six months, $500 at a year)

We are seeking full time Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists to join our new Lucas County Jail based services and provide mental health interventions to assigned clients with severe and persistent mental illness. These clients require individual community based rehabilitative services and/or group rehabilitative services to maximize the reduction of symptoms of mental illness. The goal is to restore the client to the highest level of functioning and reduce recidivism rate. Services provided are defined by the Ohio MHAS standards and must be identified on the ISP.
Selected individuals must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and the ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology required. Related degree may be considered with related experience. Must meet Ohio MHAS criteria for qualified mental health specialist (QMHS).
