Job Overview

As the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program Administrator, you will provide leadership, administrative oversight, program development, and supervision to the eight DD program managers and one administrative assistant at Badlands Human Service Center (covering 8 counties in southwest North Dakota). You will manage and promote referral and identification of children at the earliest possible age to minimize the effects of an identified delay in development. You will also ensure individuals with disabilities receive the support they need to live in the residence of their choice and to participate in the vocational and recreational opportunities in the community. Additionally, you will lead the eligibility committee for the region, collaborate with the licensed DD providers in the region for service delivery and quality of service, and manage and approve authorizations for services in the region.

To be considered for this position, you must have a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, child development and family science, nursing, vocational rehabilitation or business or public or health care administration and four years of professional work experience in a human service delivery area, of which two years must have included management of budget and supervisory experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields and five years of professional work experience in a human service delivery area, of which two years must have included management of budget and supervisory experience.
