Job Overview

RBT/BT

Registered Behavior Technician/Behavior Technician Responsibilities: RBTs and BTs work one on one with the clients, follow all protocols given by their supervisors, and collaborate with their team to meet the needs of the client.

  • Provide direct care to clients to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and family.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attend trainings, complete administrative duties, and communicate effectively with all parts of the company.
  • Follow ethical code of conduct for RBTs

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

  • Preferred, but not required: Certificate, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s degree in behavioral health or related field.
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR/BLS and Behavior Management training is required
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • May need to work shifts.
  • Computer skills.
  • Must be able to be credentialed by National Certifying board within 6 months (e.g., BACB for the Registered Behavior Credential or RBT).

Physical Demands May Include:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling a maximum of 25 lbs.
  • Assist with lifting, holding or positioning students with disabilities (including physical, behavioral, learning, etc.)
  • Sitting or stooping on the floor for extended periods of time
  • Standing or bending over repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must work well in noisy and crowded environments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
