THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION (MUST LIVE IN AND BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE USA OR CANADA)
PGP (The Public Good Projects) is seeking a full-time Research Associate within the Research Department. The Research Associate will lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of research studies across a variety of public health topics, such as COVID-19 vaccination, mental health, and opioid use disorders, among others. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-starter who thrives in both a team environment and working independently.This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, and passionate about program evaluation. This role is a critical component of the Research Department, responsible for the evaluation of public health programs from formative to summative research. This position will report to the Senior Research Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:
  • Leading program evaluation projects, from development and implementation of the research protocol to writing the final deliverables
  • Designing, fielding, and analyzing surveys, including working with third-party panel companies
  • Leading qualitative data collection and analysis, including interviews and focus groups
  • Collecting, cleaning, analyzing and presenting quantitative data
  • Leading various writing-based tasks, including conducting comprehensive literature reviews, writing client-facing reports, and writing conference abstracts and manuscripts
  • Staying current with developments within public health and research methods literature, practices, methods, and applications and disseminating this information to staff

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as public health, program evaluation, or research methods + at least 1 year of work experience. Or, an undergraduate degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of work experience.
  • Broad knowledge of program evaluation and research methods, including creating logic models, qualitative and quantitative research, survey design and survey best practices, and writing evaluation plans. Experience conducting focus groups, interviews, descriptive statistics, and/or biostatistics a plus.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis software such as NVivo, Atlas.ti, Dedoose, SPSS, SAS, or Stata. Experience with online survey platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or Pollfish.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and independently identify appropriate solutions
  • Proven track record of supporting multiple projects concurrently with tight deadlines.
  • Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be open to learning new techniques and methods, be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and detail oriented.
