The Human Resources Office is advertising for a 2 Social Worker II, one to be assigned to the Newton campus and one to be assigned to the Kemper campus.

STARTING SALARY: $2,751/month / $15.81/ hr.

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday 8a-5p

Education:

Must be licensed to practice Master’s level social work (LMSW or above) in the State

Mississippi

OR

Must be licensed to practice Bachelor’s level social work (LSW) in the State of Mississippi

AND

One (1) year of experience related to the described duties.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS/ DUTIES/ABILITIES:

• Coordinates services among agencies contributing to a client’s welfare, and schedules meetings with other professionals to ensure that clients are placed in the most appropriate setting.
• Assists clients with receiving and sending mail and making phone calls to parents or guardians.
• Assists clients in adhering to treatment plans, such as setting up appointments, arranging for transportation to appointments, ore providing support
• Modifies treatment plans according to changes in client’s status.
• Assists clients by coordinating HIPAA related requests concerning access to medical records.
• Conducts admission and discharge interviews and maintains summary reports.
• Uses appropriate behavioral management techniques when interacting with clients.
• Attend all mandatory training including Annual In-service, TB screening and any other as assigned
• Work effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve goals, provide accurate and timely service
• Other duties deemed necessary
