Job Overview

Description:Provides substance abuse counseling and support services to juvenile offenders admitted into the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice Treatment Program.

Major areas of responsibility for this job.

  • Completes intakes and assessments as needed.
  • Provides individual and group counseling.
  • Completes treatment planning and other required clinical documentation in accordance with contractual requirements and licensing regulations.
  • Provides case management services and coordination of the youth’s treatment.
  • Develops post-release plans.
  • Participates in staff growth and development activities.

. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field
  • Experience or expertise with offender populations preferred
  • Experience or expertise with juveniles preferred
  • Must meet professional staff qualifications as required by 77 Illinois Administrative Code 2060.309 within two years of employment.
