At Your Door Labs (AYDL) is committed to quality diagnostics, evidence-based clinical care, and consistent delivery of excellent services. AYDL’s mission is to remove all healthcare islands from all demographics around the nation. We are providing contracted Managed Services Organization (MSO) services to a start-up clinic, HM Wellness Centers, to serve underprivileged communities in the DFW area. Some of our contracted services include staffing qualified and passionate providers and team members for HM Wellness Center locations.
Position Summary
The Supervising Physician for Mental and Behavioral Health Services is an important member of our growing clinical operations team. S/He will establish a relationship with the Mental and Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner(s) to provide quality oversight and direction of medical care as well as prescriptive authority delegations. This individual will be able to meet all Texas requirements for Supervising Physicians and Prescriptive Authority Delegation and will work with AYDL and HM Wellness Center leadership to develop a top-notch healthcare services program.
General Responsibilities:

  • Develop an effective Supervising Physician relationship with assigned Nurse Practitioner(s)
  • Be available for real-time consultation to assigned Nurse Practitioner(s)
  • Act as primary Supervising Physician to all assigned providers in accordance with all state rules and regulations under the Texas State Medical Board
  • Conduct review of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for each assigned provider according to state specific requirements and internal policy
  • Meet with supervisees in person, via telephone, or video conference at a frequency no less than required by state specific requirements and internal policy
  • Conduct assessments and medication management consultations
  • Perform EMR review and conduct medically relevant investigation and adequate summary of findings regarding patient complaints to determine if care was appropriate and advise on appropriate course of action
  • Develop and implement appropriate protocol and treatment plans, tailored to the patient population
  • Assist provider team with the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, in alignment with AYDL and HM Wellness Center values and goals
  • Partner with Area Administrator and VP of Clinical Operations, as necessary, to perform remediation, disciplinary evaluations, and performance reviews
  • Attend and participate in provider meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to make sound clinical judgement
  • Supervision and prescriptive authority to our certified Nurse Practitioners for Mental and Behavioral Health service
  • Excellent procedural skills
  • Natural teacher and willing to impart learned skills to supervisees
  • Comfortable with collaboration among a variety of healthcare providers and internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-assured, self-directed, and results oriented
  • Organized and accustomed to meeting routine and expedited deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Current and unrestricted license as a Medical Director (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
  • Active board certification in Psychiatry
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license
  • Graduate from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of accredited residency program
  • Current and unrestricted Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Direct patient care in Psychiatric setting within the last 2 years
  • Previous experience as a supervising physician with delegated prescriptive authority
  • Experience with EMR and EHR systems, preferably Athena

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: 1099 Contract
  • Compensation: $1,000/mo guaranteed for 16 hours of supervising responsibilities + $100/hr over 16 hours with prior approval

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 per hour
