The Refuge – A Healing Place, a leading residential treatment facility for adults that specializes in SUD, Trauma, PTSD and Mental Health has recently launched Oak House at The Refuge an 8 bed, gender-inclusive, trauma-focused, primary Eating Disorder Program. The Refuge and Oak House offer the highest quality comprehensive treatment services to individuals who have been struggling with trauma, addiction, eating disorders and a host of additional mental and behavioral health Issues.

The Refuge is seeking an equine therapist with training and experience working with clients with eating disorders, trauma, and mental health disorders. EGALA Trained.

Position Summary: Primary Therapist provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, individual/family therapy, and crisis intervention for a caseload of clients and also conduct group therapy sessions as assigned. Therapists will collaborate with a team of providers in exploring therapeutic interventions, responding to the needs of clients, and working toward achieving clients’ goals.

Job Type: Full-Time

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required
  • EAGALA Certification required
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in clinical field including, but not limited to an LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist
  • Must have 1+ years of experience as therapist working with eating disorders, trauma and/or addictions
  • Current knowledge working with the LGBTQIA+ community preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Competency in computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and decision-making skills required
  • Must be able to successfully perform in a fast-paced work environment
