Job Overview
The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for the evaluation of clients, supervision of individual psychological support, individual counseling, behavioral management planning and family counseling. Works with other interdisciplinary team members for treatment planning and implementation.
This is a full-time position working out of or Farmington and Farmington Hills, Michigan Treatment Centers.
This role will also support Rainbow’s After School Program and will need to be available to work through 6:30pm during the school year (schedule will be 4 days per week 10hr Shifts).
Core Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Psychologist (LP), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP), Master of Social Work (MSW) in the state of Michigan Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology or Counseling
- Previous experience with spinal cord injury clients
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability and willingness to set priorities
- Ability to work as an interdisciplinary team and serve as a team member
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Acceptable under the State of Michigan’s Good Moral
- Willingness to be on-call Local travel
You must also be able to:
- Ability to lift, more than 30 lb. – Repeatedly throughout day Transfer, push, pull, 150 lb. or greater patient weight Standing, 4 – 5 hours/day Walking, 2 – 4 hours/day Bend, stoop, squat, and/or twist – Repeatedly throughout day
Additional Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) population preferred
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience working with Pediatrics preferred
- Previous TBI experience preferred
