Cascade Community Healthcare
 (CCH) has been the mental health provider to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives.

 

We currently have five treatment locations providing services in Lewis County.

We are looking for a Crisis Interventionist to join our Mobile Crisis Team. This is a full-time and part-time, non-exempt position.

 

Cascade Community Healthcare, as a healthcare facility, must comply with the Washington State Governor’s mandatory vaccination proclamation. The proclamation states all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 18th. Exemptions from the vaccine requirement are allowed for those individuals who are entitled to a disability-related reasonable accommodation or a sincerely held religious belief accommodation.

 

Available shifts:

Part-Time: NOC Shift, Wednesday-Thursday, 7:00pm – 5:00am.

 

This position is eligible for $2/hour shift differential for eligible hours on Swing an NOC shifts and hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

 

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for face to face and phone crisis intervention, stabilization and resolution services for individuals or families experiencing acute emotional distress or loss of behavioral control, at the individual’s location at home or in the community.
  • Responsible for providing services to individuals experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness which present risk of harm to self or others for the purpose of appropriate referral to the DCR.
  • Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.
  • Communicate follow up actions needed with on-coming crisis team.
  • Provide follow-up contact to individuals, families and agencies involved in crisis stabilization and resolution responses.
  • Assist in facilitation of voluntary hospitalization for clinically appropriate individuals and coordinate with DCR to carry out involuntary placement as a collateral provider.
  • Provides consultation, education and liaison with law enforcement, school, health personnel and other appropriate collateral agencies and groups.
  • Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.

 

What you need to get the job done

  • Washington State Counselor credential required (AAC).
  • Peer Counselor Certification Preferred.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. Also, a national background check if you haven’t lived in WA State consecutively the last 3 years. Must also be able to gain clearance to teh Lewis County Jail.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.
  • Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the HR office.
