Program Manager Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Practice Administrator of Child and Family Services (CFS), this position provides program, personnel direction and supervision to staff that provide therapeutic services to students and families in Del Valle ISD schools. Provides oversight of clinical care and clinical procedures. Functions as a member of the Child and Family Services Management Team. Responsible for program planning and policy development of clinical programs provided to Medicaid and non-Medicaid consumers. The Program Manager is responsible for programmatic supervision, resource development, public speaking, training of professional staff, and interagency relations and liaison with relevant external constituents. In addition, this Manager monitors metrics and reporting for a State level grant. Establishes and maintains highest standards for quality of care and ethical practice.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains professional relationships with community agencies and regional school districts whose students or consumers receive services from CFS. Participates in community and Integral Care committees as assigned. Manages staff and resources so that requirements of relevant funding sources, such as insurance and grants. Prepares and has oversight of the financial budget of the unit.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical treatment, especially evidenced based practices as related to mental health services to children, youth, and their families.
  • Sensitivity and knowledge of the cultural characteristics of the population served.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to children and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, professional staff, support staff, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated skills in the area of community liaison and public relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize plans and reports, making clear and effective written and oral presentations (including financial data).
  • Knowledge and ability to engage in a wide range of negotiation techniques, procedures, and strategies.

 

 

Program Manager Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

Program Manager License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensure in the State of Texas as LCSW, LPC, LMFT or PHD may be required dependent on program specific requirements.

Program Manager Experience:

Required:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with individuals in treatment for behavioral health disorders and/or recovery.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of five years experience in a mental health setting, and at least two years of clinical experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances, including children who have been victimized by abuse and neglect.
  • Clinical supervisory experience.
  • Three years administrative supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Hours: Full-time; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Salary: $77,862 annually.
