Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for renewal/updating all Training/Licensure/Insurance: CPR/ 1st Aid, IOTA Training, Flu Shots, CPI, Physical, Drug Test, and any other training requested by Navicent/RE.
  • Assess SA/MH/DD EC patients as requested by EC staff in a timely manner. Make appropriate referrals and follow-up as needed. Interview patients/families/outside agency staff to obtain information needed to make referrals.
  • Responds to crisis calls, provides EC staff with pertinent information, problem-solving skills.
  • Assists patients/families/EC staff with help in understanding the referral process.
  • Completes and provides appropriate referral forms, documentation to EC and other outside referral sources.
  • Document contacts, complete tracking, and logbooks for each patient seen/presenting in EC for MH consult.
  • Complete daily log sheet at the end of each shift, attend monthly crisis meetings.
  • Work schedules as needed, including weekends/holidays as needed.
Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
  • COVID Vaccinated
  • A Master Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice is required.
  • Experience with computers, preferably with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Previous experience working with adults, children/youth with mental health diagnoses is highly preferred.
  • Must be strongly customer service oriented, good interpersonal skills.
