Summary: Responsible for supporting the manager in administrative duties of the department. The Supervisor will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional practice in the clinical setting. Able to provide patient care and remains competent in clinical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates open, honest, respectful communications in all interactions
- Demonstrates leadership ability by fostering commitment, inspiring trust and acting as a role model
- Provides direct patient care as a significant portion of the position
- Authorized to fill schedule needs, changes and updates the schedule using established staffing patterns
- Identifies significant issues and possible solutions to leadership
- Supports department quality improvement activities (data collection, chart audits, just-in-time education)
- Communicates with management, other staff or other departments effectively and professionally
- Supports department customer service, quality, and financial goals
- Mentors, develops, and coaches staff
- Exhibits personal characteristics and enhances the effectiveness of the role, including effective interpersonal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
Requirements:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Dietician in the State of Illinois
- CPR
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical field
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) / Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
