FULL-TIME RECREATIONAL/ACTIVITY THERAPIST
JOB AVAILABLE
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 – state of the art facility conveniently located at 9938 airline highway in the heart of the city at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Hwy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides patient assessment/treatment
- Assesses new patients within 72 hours of admission
- Provides direct patient group treatment
- Dictates/writes progress notes for one to one and group sessions
- Provides comprehensive therapeutic activities consistent with each patient’s Active Treatment Program
Skills Needed:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Should be able to work with multi-disciplinary team
- Must demonstrate leadership skills, dependability and able to work under stress
- Organized and self-disciplined
- Must have the ability to be assertive and tactful in interpersonal relationships for inter and intra departmental relations
Education/Experience/License required:
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy is required
- CTRS preferred
