The Intake Care Coordinator is responsible for processing referrals to Child Abuse Services from law enforcement (LE), Child Protective Services (CPS) and other community referents. The Intake Care Coordinator manages all scheduling and coordination for Child Forensic Interviews and medical evaluations for the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and Child Abuse Intervention Department (CAID). The Intake Care Coordinator partners with law enforcement, CPS workers, victim advocates, Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (PAO) staff, social workers, CAID office staff and the Child Abuse Services Manager to ensure that referrals are appropriately processed, and that forensic interviews and medical exams are coordinated and executed within a timely manner. The Intake Care Coordinator ensures accurate and timely communication with all community partners, CAC/CAID staff, child victims and their families, manages demographic and legal data for grant and project reporting and assists social work with needs assessment screening and after care referrals and resources.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two year’s experience in social sciences, mental health or related field required
Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential with Washington State DOH required within -60 days of hire into position, OR a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor Associate (LMHCA) credentialed with Washington State may be substituted for the AAC
