Mental Health Assistant

Full time Mental Health Assistant opening at the St. Cloud Head Start classrooms.

Responsibilities include:

** Provide mental health skills services and support to preschool Teachers.

** Interact and observe children in Head Start classrooms.

** Work collaboratively with Mental Health Team and classroom Teacher to create a behavior plan to support a specific child’s behavior needs.

** Implement behavior plan in the Head Start classroom along with mental health modeling and coaching with classroom staff.

Requirements:

** BA/BS/BES Degree in Behavior Health Science, Psychology or related field preferred.

** AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.

** Mon – Friday, 40 hours per week, Mid-August to Mid-June

Compensation:

· Wage scale starts at $17.00/hour plus great benefits.
