Job Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION.
The Clinician is primarily responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy to clients in their assigned mental health program. The Clinician works closely with internal and external service providers, consulting and collaborating on the client’s progress and treatment plans.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Provide Individual, Group, and Family psychotherapies.
  • Assess clients’ needs and levels of functioning including a biopsychosocial assessment.
  • Provide crisis interventions as necessary.
  • Develop safety, behavioral, and treatment plans.
  • Schedule and coordinate psychotherapy sessions.
  • Provide collateral parties with information to best meet the client’s needs, as necessary.
  • Assess, determine, and initiate referrals when additional services are needed (i.e. medication evaluation, psychiatric hospitalization, in-home services, or psychological testing, etc.).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

  • Understanding of and familiarity with addiction, withdrawal, and best treatment practices for recovery.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and familiarity of trauma-informed care and best clinical practices.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and set a positive example of behaviors for patients.
  • Work cooperatively with patients, coworkers, and community representatives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR and HIPAA
  • Ability to work with diverse ethnic populations and a variety of people experiencing unique situations.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Word, Office, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

  • Current licensure in The State of Ohio as a LPCC, LISW, or Equivalent.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
