Job Overview

Family Preservation Community Services (FPCS) was founded in 1997. FPCS provides a variety of social services and therapies to children, adults, and families. We are located in North Carolina and South Carolina and have a long history of providing quality foster care and therapy in our market.

The lead licensed therapist provides needed therapies to our children and families either in our foster homes or at our office. This important position helps to stabilize crisis situations, provides a treatment plan for our children and families to work towards and helps our foster children to remain in the lowest level of placement and with a loving home that understands their dynamic needs. When not seeing our foster children, the lead licensed therapist will provide psychotherapy through our outpatient behavioral health program. In addition, this position will manage and oversee the local office providing clinical supervision, crisis assistance and administration.

Responsibilities include:

Completing diagnostic assessments that assist in establishing medical necessity for treatment.

Creating in conjunction with the client and/or family, a treatment plan that is reviewed and changed as necessary but no less than every 90 days.

Providing various individual, family or group psychotherapy.

Clear documentation of progress or lack thereof on all goals in accordance with state, federal and accrediting body guidelines.

Management of office and all staff in the office.

Requirements include:

Must be fully and independently licensed. Proof of SCLLR licensure is required. Must work towards clinical supervisor credential if not already a candidate.

Must have the ability to travel regularly to the foster homes that are located in and around the Lowcountry area (may be up to 50 miles-company car provided).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
