Mental Health Counselor (CDPVTC)

Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Mental Health Counselor (CDPVTC) at the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Training Center located in Thelma, Kentucky. The anticipated start date is 05/15/22.

RESPONSIBILITIES : The Mental Health Counselor provides direct counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups at the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Training Center (CDPVTC) in Thelma, Kentucky. Will provide outreach services, such as educational programming, faculty/staff consultations, and proactive prevention programs to promote increased student awareness of self-help skills and resources.

REQUIREMENTS : Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or professional counseling with state certification or licensure, or eligibility for certification/licensure. Willing to seek clinical supervision as defined by licensure board, etc. Must reside in Johnson or a near-by county and willing and able to work the evening shift.
