Job Overview
The position’s responsibilities include the following:
- Develops and maintains a high-quality treatment program.
- Ensures appropriate admission, discharge and transfer of patients by coordinating and facilitating treatment team meetings and approving admissions recommended by the Intake Coordinator. Ensure appropriate referrals within the continuum of care.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive community relations program.
- Represents the Facility’s Outpatient program to potential referral groups and community associations too.
- Develops strategic planning, program administration and development as needed.
- Provides direct supervision to the Outpatient staff.
- Assure program Quality by coordinating Performance Improvement Audits for all admissions; audits to include: 7 day, monthly recertification and discharge.
- Perform marketing duties to educate community on services offered.
- Works cooperatively with the Business Development Team, when directed, to educate the community about services and maintain community relations.
- Proficient in contract management and negations.
- Plans with other health service entities and develops and promotes supportive approach to client service and care.
- Works to facilitate billable clinical services as needed to remain in compliance with staffing budget within the facility.
- Employs qualified personnel and assures that licensed clinical staff obtain required Continuing Education each year.
- Ensures highest standard of care provided by verifying clinical competency of all staff and monitoring outcomes. Reports inadequacies immediately to Administrator and participates in corrective plan of action.
- Supervises, evaluates and directs: all clinical and nursing staff Health Information Manager, Administrative Assistant, Mental Health Technicians (MHT).
- Accountable for budget implementation, accounting systems and fiscal controls.
- Assist with providing high-quality therapeutic services including group therapy, individual therapy, family counseling and therapeutic consults when needed.
