Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

We are a large adoptive family in Wimberley, Texas, who have adopted a total of 9 children. 7 of the children have special needs (4 of the 7 have Down syndrome). We are specifically hiring to find an RBT to work with 3 of our children (only one child at a time). The RBT would be providing direct 1:1 care and support of the children in our home (the RBT would only work with one child at a time). Two of the children have autism and one of those has higher behavioral challenges so experience with high behaviors is a plus! The RBT wouldn’t be following an in-home behavior intervention plan or be under the direct supervision of a BCBA, but instead would be acting in a direct care role with the benefit of already understanding the premises of ABA therapy and implementing ABA techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and decrease negative behaviors.

Important: We desire to hire an RBT who would like long-term job stability. We are not interested in short-term job applicants as our children need the stability of long-term caregivers without a high rate of staff turnover. Mom has cancer and needs help with the kids. We live on a beautiful ranch in the Hill Country.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
