Job Overview

SUMMARY: This position provides individual and group counseling services to foreign born children to help them achieve effective personal and family development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Interviews clients to assess their situation and develops appropriate clinical treatment plans.
Conducts individual and group counseling sessions.
Prepares and maintains case files, reports, both written and through electronic, to ensure proper client care and compliance with state licensing, certification, and insurance standards.
Refers clients to community organizations as appropriate for additional services.
Stays current in required training through completion and documentation of annual training hours
Maintains positive working relationships with stakeholders and responds to inquiries in a timely manner, providing records and progress reports on clients, as required.
Participates in treatment planning meetings to provide feedback for case planning and addressing childs needs
Assists in the review of client charts and records.
Administers client surveys, questionnaires, and testing, as appropriate.
Attends program and agency meetings and follows policies and procedures.
Follows guidelines of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) in the handling of and releasing of clients personal information and medical records.
Maintains a cooperative and flexible attitude.
Testifies in court cases when subpoenaed.
Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and preferred two years of post graduate experience; licensed or license eligible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.99 – $31.49 per hour
