Job Overview

Are you looking for a meaningful place to work where you can use your knowledge of direct care to make a difference in people’s lives? Innova Recovery Center provides intensive clinical therapeutic services to women 18 years and older who have experienced trauma. Our residential center (house) is in need of a direct care team member who will help provide support services (supervision/companionship/house duties) to the women at our house.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication to clients (medication pass experience preferred)
  • Deliver quality care to clients within a residential setting
  • Provide supervision of clients while on shift
  • Provide appropriate documentation as needed
  • Work cooperatively with team members and the client in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the treatment plan
  • Lead various mental health therapy groups in accordance with client treatment plans (training provided)
  • Be available in times of crisis or in intense situations

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

  • Medication pass experience (preferred)
  • Available to work Friday – Monday (10 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.)
  • People who are engaged with helping our clients learn and grow through their trauma
  • Empathetic people who can hold loving and firm boundaries
  • Outgoing group leaders (training provided)
  • Love people and must be patient and compassionate with client’s emotional and psychological needs
  • Basic mental health understanding and understanding client’s emotional, physical, and personal boundaries
  • Team player that works well with and willing to help others
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Dependable and responsible in attendance for scheduled shifts

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant – M.A. (preferred), Certification as a Medication Aide – C.M.A. (preferred), Certified Mental Health Technician – C.M.H.T. (preferred)
  • Minimum of post high school medical education (para-professional nursing, medical, and/or technical)
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse students, Social Work students, Psychology students, Masters Level Interns
  • Understanding of mental health practices (preferred) and comfortable creating and leading mental health groups (preferred)
  • Must be able to climb stairs (two-story house)
