Looking to fill an IMMEDIATE position! Qualified mental health professional MUST currently reside in or within 10/15 minutes of the families Rockwall home!

POSITION SUMMARY

A Rockwall, Tx Family is seeking a qualified mental health professional for their 4 children. The Qualified Mental Health Professional is primarily responsible for providing mental health rehabilitative services, skills training and development, family skills training, and crisis intervention to clients of the agency per state specified standards and requirements. It is the responsibility of this position to provide clinically appropriate services, a minimum of 10 hour per week per client assigned for services. Direct client contact hours to be provided each week, Sunday through Saturday per availability of family. Must have reliable transportation and access to a desktop or laptop computer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Social Work or related degree preferred.

Experience: 1 year of experience working in youth case management and/or behavioral health. Licensure/Certification: Not required. If applicable, LMSW preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification. Behavior Management (MANDT) Certification. CANS Certification.

Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work flexible hours. Must have strong interest in working with youth. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with Minimum auto insurance Bodily Injury Liability requirements are $100k per person and $300k per accident. Must be willing to transport clients at times.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and exhibit Engagement skills.
  • Provide and exhibit Implementation skills.
  • Reports suspected child abuse or neglect immediately to the Abuse and Neglect Hotline and Director
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of DSHS including licensure rules and regulations and suspected fraudulent practices
  • Attend all Team, Individual, and Training Meetings as required and scheduled
  • Provide and exhibit Planning skills.
  • Document services provided with the understanding that all clinical notations are considered legal documents and can be used in a court of law. All documentation should be true and accurate and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE FALSIFIED IN ANY MANNER
  • Provide and exhibit Transition skills.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times and be familiar with all HIPPA laws and regulations
  • Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, as this applies
  • Prepare and present all assigned cases for review by a supervisor, as required on a prescribed basis
  • Provide Mental Health Rehabilitative Case Management services to clients and families.
  • Opens and processes mail / e-mail daily in a timely manner.
  • Provide transportation as required
  • Maintains compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements including all state and federal laws
  • Maintains confidentiality as required by government law and regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 per hour

In response to COVID-19, to keep our staff and families safe, telehealth services are available if decided upon between the QMHP and family. If both parties agree/prefer face to face visits, both parties must wear masks and remain distanced.
