About MD Ally:
Each year, millions of non-emergency calls are made to 911 that decrease ambulance availability, overcrowd EDs and drive billions in excess costs. MD Ally is a 911 triage & telehealth solution that allows EMS to triage non-emergency patients to virtual care saving limited, emergency services. Our mission is to enable greater connectivity between 911 & the broader healthcare ecosystem.
About You:
As a Crisis Intervention Social Worker, your primary role will be working with low acuity 911 calls relating to mental health issues. Although all call responders are trained in handling mental health and behavioral health issues, they will further redirect these patients to your care. You will provide telecounseling for the patients and as a social worker you will be able to work with the patients to help improve patient outcomes. Additionally, you will be able to refer the patient to the accurate resources to help provide them with the best care possible.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support and provide therapy to those with mental health concerns
- Coordinate the care of patients to appropriate resources as needed
- Provide psychosocial and risk assessments
- Greet patients in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Perform a secondary triage process that ensures the patient is an appropriate candidate for MD Ally services.
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering patient assistance and support.
- Reconnect patients to 9-1-1 in the event of contingency situations.
- Work in collaboration with other clinical workers to understand patient information
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and referrals to external services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in FLORIDA
- Experience dealing with mental health issues
- Knowledge of community resources, eligibility requirements, and procedures to obtain needed services for clients
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Great active listening and conflict resolution skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Troubleshooting skills, and ability to overcome challenges.
