Project Permanence (High Fidelity Wraparound) Program: Life with a child struggling with severe emotional and behavioral issues can become an overwhelming stress for the whole family, and jeopardize the child’s safety, well-being, and ability to remain at home. The Project Permanence team at Lincoln Families, works with the entire family to build coping, planning, and problem solving skills for placement stability, and to reduce and manage challenging behaviors through a variety of ways:

  • Community-based: meeting families where they are, in their communities to help them connect with resources available within their environments.
  • Comprehensive Assessment: determining whether services are relevant and feasible for youth and families, and assessing what’s behind challenging behaviors.
  • Plan Development: working together to develop an individualized plan to modify target behaviors, achieve measurable goals, and sustain improvements and gains long term.
  • Family Coaching: utilizing teaching and modeling for youth and families to learn new behaviors and coping skills.
  • Coordination of Care: collaborating with other service providers such as probation, school personnel, and social services to strengthen stability and permanence.
  • Certification: training in evidence-based practices and certified as a High Fidelity Wraparound clinician.

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the CBS Clinical Director, this Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical services and trainings provided in Project Permanence. This involves the supervision and training of Project Permanence clinicians and other staff in the development and implementation of clinical assessments and treatment plans; this applies to all clients including those qualifying for Katie-A, other D.C.F.S. youth, youth on probation, as well as school and/or I.C.C. referrals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist program leadership in hiring, supervision and evaluation of clinicians and staff.
  • Participate in and directly observe clinical delivery of services through regular and frequent interface with staff.
  • Responsible for regular scheduled weekly individual and group supervision.
  • Perform direct service and necessary documentation with clients as needed.
  • Ensure supervisee compliance with agency and program policies, procedures and expectations.
  • Assist program leadership in coordination of exterior and internal utilization reviews related to chart compliance, quality and appropriateness of clinical services.
  • Assist in designing and implementing training programs for staff. This includes, but is not limited to, researching and developing creative trainings with experts from the community as well as developing, organizing and presenting a comprehensive orientation for program-specific on-boarding.
  • Assist program leadership with referral and intake process.
  • Requires occasional driving to various locations across Alameda County. (Clinical Supervisor must have a valid CA driver license, personal automobile insurance and satisfactory driving record.)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A positive, relationally adept, service-oriented leader who has demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing intensive case management services to youth and their families utilizing a wraparound modality of treatment. Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to navigate the support-and-accountability continuum to motivate staff to deliver high quality services to youth and families that meets compliance requirements. Can work independently but also asks for help when necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact successfully at all levels within Lincoln and with external partners. Demonstrated awareness of, sensitivity to and competence in dealing with cultural and socioeconomic diversity of client population.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • California LCSW or MFT, licensed a minimum of 2 years, plus 3 years of clinical experience
  • Supervisory experience highly desirable
  • Experience working with community-based treatment models
  • Experience with at-risk and SED children and families
  • Experience with Medi-Cal documents and requirements
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal services
