Compensation: $62,400

Location: SF Bay Area

Love Never Fails (LNF) seeks a CSEC Crossroads Mobile Case Manager to join our team. LNF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of being dedicated to the restoration, education and protection of those involved or at risk of becoming involved in domestic human trafficking. We are devoted to expressing to each person that they are valued, precious and loved by their community. Our approach is to combat human trafficking through safe housing, workforce development and prevention education.

Position Objective

The Manager, of CSEC Crossroads Mobile Case Management will provide trauma informed case management and support services to Commercial Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) while missing and after they have been recovered.

Required Competencies

  • Clinical – Hands on experience with survivors of trauma, drug and alcohol addiction, and domestic violence are a must. Experience with survivors of human trafficking is preferred.
  • Communication – Professional, timely, and proactive communication with LNF program members, leadership, service providers, volunteers, and partnering agencies.
  • Planning and Organization – Ability to create processes and structures that are easily followed and beneficial to LNF program members, service providers and volunteers.
  • Problem Solving – Ability to use problem solving techniques to resolve issues independently.
  • Self-Management /Initiative/ Learning – Ability to drive the creation and execution of restorative programs with minimal support/engagement from LNF leadership.
  • Technology – Proficient use of computers, Internet, communication devices, and case management databases.
  • Integrity – Strict adherence to LNF confidentiality and safety guidelines. Must have good boundaries and sound judgment.
  • Flexible – Must be willing to be available after hours in the event of a client crisis and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Transportation – Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel in the Bay Area and

Nationally on occasion.

Core Responsibilities

  • This role will eventually lead a team of mobile case managers. This position requires direct service experience as well as experience leading teams and training cas managers on trauma informed best practices.
  • Provide individual outreach to child/youth to provide support during crisis and/or run away incidents.
  • Administer comprehensive Commercial Sexually Exploited Child/Youth (CSEC/Y) screening
  • Collaborate with agencies to engage CSEC and find long term safe placement.
  • Conduct community outreach to continue building awareness of missing CSEC/Y.
  • Collaborate with Partners regarding status of missing CSEC/Y.
  • Provide engagement activities to assist CSEC/Y in accepting services to include placement and linkage for ongoing CSEC services (e.g., trauma-informed and survivor informed mental health, substance abuse services).
  • Determine the reasons for the CSEC/Y instability.
  • Provide support and intervention, which may include conducting in-person visits to the

Receiving Center(s) in Contra Costa County, within 24 hours.

  • Address child’s/youth’s immediate needs by providing information, basic necessities, or referrals to external providers with Behavioral Health, Public Health, and providing psycho-education.
  • Attend Human Trafficking Multi-Disciplinary Team (HT MDT) meetings on behalf of the youth or CFS social worker.
  • Prepare a safety plan in collaboration with partners for missing CSEC/Y.
  • Work with the child/youth, and the child/youth’s family and/or support network, develop a plan to stabilize the child/youth and ensure they have a safe environment to meet their emotional and health needs.
  • Provide logistical support to the child/youth, linking the child/youth to appropriate services (e.g., transportation service needs).
  • Support social workers in the transportation of missing from care CSEC youth to placement. This includes youth who may leave placement and be located in another county.
  • Research specialized CSEC placement options and develop a directory of placements available throughout the state and country.
  • Crisis intervention, including, but not limited to, development and support for safety plans and meeting the child’s/youth’s immediate emotional and physical health and basic needs.
  • Advocacy and support for the child/youth when interfacing with CFS (social workers, placement staff) and other systems, including needs in the realms of medical care, juvenile justice involvement, and schools.
  • Follow up and linkage of youth to services and supports outside the County if necessary.
  • Coordination with partners to obtain support for child/youth in the engagement and stabilization including (but not limited to) clothing, phones, calling cards, safety/housing vouchers, journals, food supplies, diapers and hygiene supplies, gif cards for food and groceries, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Confidentiality and Security Protocols

  • LNF mobile Case Manager must adhere to strict LNF confidentiality and safety guidelines.
  • The location of LNF sites will remain confidential at all times.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field OR Associate’s Degree +

Clinical Case Management Certificate

  • 40 hours of human trafficking training required (must be able to verify), willing to train the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $62,400.00 per year
